COVID-19 has brought many disruptions in our lives. Runners, like you and I, could not really run freely nor run together in large groups during this period of time. However, we still would like to continue to encourage everyone to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep this running community going strong. Thus, we are beginning to have runing challenges so that we can find extra motivation to continue to keep fit together as a running community! Beyond that, when we do have the opportunity to gather together once again to run, we would like to use this portal as a means to identify runners who have joined our sessions in case of any needed contact tracing or emergency.

There are basically two components to the use of this web site.
  1. Your Department Account and QR Code - This allows us to facilitate in check-in processes when we can resume our run once social distancing measures eases. This allows us to track runners who attend our run session with us.
  2. Virtual Events - This allows runners to participate in our free to join virtual events.

Yes. A one-time registration is required receive your unique QR code in order to join us for our run. The following are the steps to get started:
  1. Create a one-time RD account and get a unique QR code
  2. Turn up and check in with our registration crew during the Wednesday and Saturday runs

All runners are required to register prior to joining us at our run. We would like to ensure that we are responsible for ourselves as well as the rest of the running community.

Unfortunately, an account is required to join our virtual events.

Nope! All our run sessions (physicaly / virtual) are free for runners to join. Running Department is also a not-for-profit running community and focuses on providing runners with free-to-run together sessions. All we ask for is your support so that we can continue to work on rolling out more initiatives for the community.

The run sessions are free for all runners of all levels to attend. However, please ensure you register for a QR code for the event.

The virtual events are also free for all runners of all levels to attend. As it is a virtual run, runners are free to do their own run at their own pace and own time, according to the requirements or period set up for each virtual run event.

For fun, laughter and good health! As we are a not-for-profit running organisation, we do not operate with any funding support. Thus, what we are doing here are our own community engagement initiatives to encourage runners to stay healthy by taking part in our activities, and to provide them with mini rewards such as digital badges and certificates.

Unfortunately, Strava is required as we are relying on data that you synchronise from your smart wearables or devices such as Garmin, Polar, Apple Watch and Fit Bit to qualify your participation. We do not allow for manual upload of information.

The information collected will only be used for virtual event participation such as your run date and time, distance and duration.
